Manthan envisions a society where everyone lives with dignity, respect, and equality. To achieve this we focus on promoting community welfare for the most marginalized and underprivileged sections of society. We work on issues and concerns that most affect the marginalized populations in Maharashtra. As a public interest civil society organization and local advocacy group, Manthan helps to create spaces in the community, in key institutions, and in public policies for dialogue and engagement on issues related to social development. The overarching goal of the organization is to promote community welfare for most marginalized populations with a particular emphasis on women empowerment, child development, healthcare and education, and a sustainable environment.
