Our Work & Thematic Area

Manthan Foundation believes in the participatory engagement at the community level to improve the quality of life of marginalised and underprivileged populations. The organisation works on multiple indexes of sustainable development by innovating various community-centric programmes at block, district and sub-national levels. Concentrating on the mandate and the organization continues to strengthen the alliance and network building in issues that influence and impact the lives of the excluded populations such as migrant and mobile populations, unorganized transport workforce, women in sex work, sexual minorities and vulnerable children. Our programmes are either developed or implemented to complement or supplement government programmes, and schemes for a larger impact on people`s health, education, and livelihood.

We as a community-centric organization have developed our competencies on and around environment-related issues by bringing the community more closure to nature for ecological restoration. Our focus on health programmes is more diverse in nature ranging from awareness generation, education and service delivery to public advocacy.
